Cat & Nic are Co-Founders and Co-CEOs of the Global Equality Collective.
Cat is an award-winning Product person, and a mum of 3. Cat studied science throughout her education, earning a degree in Biomedical and Physiological Sciences. From there she went into Technology and found her home. As Co-Founder of the GEC, Cat writes and speaks on her favourite topics; digital product, start-ups, working parents and of course all things Diversity, Equality and Inclusion. Even as a STEM ‘lifer’, it wasn’t until she became an employer that Cat realised there was such a problem with gender disparity and lack of diversity in the workplace, especially in STEM careers. However, it was when she became a mother that she realised that she had a personal responsibility to change things - and the Global Equality Collective is her solution.
Nic is a mum of 3 and an award winning digital education specialist.
Nic has taught new technologies in the education sector (from Early Years to adults) since the start of the century. Her work today is based on supporting educational settings to become inclusive and digitally literate. She was awarded a place on the #EdTech50 (2018 as one of the leading pioneers in the UK EdTech sector) and is one of this year’s judges. She is now RL for the Edtech Demonstrator Programme for schools and colleges, and been awarded a Fellowship of the RSA due to her activism for gender equality.
Nic believes that technology is the equaliser for us all - in the media, in education, in business and at home.
