Nailah is the Director of and lead consultant at Nyela IG Consultants (NIGC), a specialist Information Governance and Data Protection consultancy. NIGC provide a range of services across the information governance piece, working with businesses across the globe, to understand and address their compliance and training requirements in Data Protection, Data Quality, Privacy & Cyber Security.
NIGC’s mission is always to assist organisations to move ‘closer to compliance’ and in partnership with AKD Solutions, Nailah has produced WiCompli. An innovative, interactive, and fun way to deliver data protection training.
Nailah is a well-qualified and experienced data protection and privacy professional with an in-depth understanding of the public and private sector. She possesses a high level of knowledge and expertise in the application of Data Protection legislation and develops and delivers training as a Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) Certified Trainer and Practitioner for the DPA 2018 (GDPR).
Having led a large public-sector organisation through an intensive Data Protection audit by the ICO with positive results and conducted several gap analysis and compliance audits, Nailah works collaboratively to ensure that best practice in relation to Data Protection, Information Security, Information Rights and Records Management is implemented alongside business need.
Other areas of work, include training development and delivery, DPO Services and investigations into statutory complaints. Nailah also provides an authoritative and pragmatic approach to the many complex issues which can arise when addressing Governance, Risk and Compliance in your business. Nailah is available to speak and facilitate at data protection & privacy events, exploring the common risks and solution-based steps to move businesses ‘closer to compliance’ whilst maximising opportunities for growth and excellence in the use of data.
