About this talk
When young men leave prison we all expect - or hope - that there's ample opportunities for them to improve their lives and move forward. Yet 40% of young men released from prison do not have access to education or training, whilst 47% are without access to the internet. To explore how access to digital can change their lives, the Digital Poverty Alliance and Intel have partnered with Trailblazers Mentoring Charity and Intel - among other fantastic partners - to launch “Tech4PrisonLeavers”, a scheme which provides young prison-leavers with access to technology, digital skills, employment opportunities and life skills upon release. During this fireside chat Elizabeth Anderson, COO of the Digital Poverty Alliance will sit down with Julia Alexander, CEO of Trailblazers Mentoring Charity and Tim Hoyle, Account Executive at Intel to discuss this innovative scheme and its potential impact.
